Happy Ayudha Puja!

          'Ayudha Puja' is an integral part of Navratri Festival(festival of triumph),a Hindu festival which is traditionally celebrated in India.It is also called 'Astra Puja' in some parts of India.Ayudha Puje or Astra Puje,in simple terms means,'Worship of implements or weapons.'Ayudha puja falls on the ninth day or Navami of bright half of moon's cycle of 15 days.

            This is about what exactly is 'Ayudha Puja.'Now let me describe about the way we celebrated 'Ayudha puja.'And doing it in a blogpost will also help me recollect the memories of Ayudha puja.

          'Ayudha puja' mainly refers to worship of weapons.So,first we had to clean our weapons.Weapons might mean different to different people but it basically refers to the things that are helping us achieve something.So the vehicles in our home,lifting machine in our new home which is under construction were the weapons to us.I took up the responsibility of washing all the motorbikes,Infact,I love doing that.By the time I was done with washing the vehicles,my mother was ready with the items to perform the puja.So the vehicles were parked in a line and lemons were placed in front of the front and back wheels of motorbikes.Then,the puja began and we all seeked the blessings of God to achieve more using these weapons.Once the puja was done,the vehicles were turned on and moved front for few meters such that the lemon gets squeezed.

              The same process was repeated in our farm as well but the vehicles there were different.After the puja and after the vehicles were moved,delicious sweets were distributed to everyone present there and even the workers Next comes the most wonderful part which I have been seeing from my childhood and I feel very happy each time I see that.It is the distribution of clothes to workers along with a box of sweets.Isnt this AWESOME???I really admire dad for this.Dad could simply give them money on the occasion of festival and tell them to celebrate the festival.But dad and mom make sure that they themselves get cloth material for men and women workers respectively.And then they give it to the workers with their own hands along with a box of sweets.The most amazing part is the whole family gets the cloth material.I just love Ayudha puja and mainly this part of Ayudha puja.

          So,this was the way in which we celebrated Ayudha Puja.

Happy Diwali

                 Wish every Hindu a very Happy and prosperous diwali.Diwali known as the "Festival of lights" is one of the amazing festivals.There are several reasons for celebrating diwali.For jains it marks the attainment of moksha by mahavira.It also marks the return of rama after 14 years of exile and many more reasons are associated with celebration of diwali.However google can be used to know in detail about diwali.I would like to write this blog in a simple n short way so as to save this as memory of how I celebrated this year.
               It is a practice or tradition in our family that the entire family meets up in Bidar during diwali.Bidar is my native place where my grandparents stay.So the same happened this year.It was a great diwali this time,it was somewhat different but somewhat special as well.Today there was puja of our Newspaper printing press.It was wonderful and happened to meet a lot of people after many years.It was also a special one because I had missed coming to bidar for last two years.
          So all in all it was a good day!!!

Ayudha Puja

               Ayudha Puja is an integral part of Navrathri Festival(Festival of triumph),a hindu festival which is traditionally celebrated in India.It is also called "Astra Puja",the synonym for ayudha puja.The festival falls on ninth day of bright half of moon's cycle of 15 days in the month of September/October.In Karnataka,the celebrations is for killing the demon king Mahishasura by goddess Chamundeshwari.After slaying the demon king,the weapons were kept for worship.Thus its a tradition followed even now,wherin weapons are kept for worship.Weapons means a tool or thing with which a person is living his life.It may be cars,motorbikes,cycles,owners of shop assume the items in the shop as there weapons and many more as such.
                 I would like to write this blog as a remembrance for me about ayudha puja this year.Infact this is the first ayudha puja after I started to write blogs.I definitely feel that blogs are also a kind of weapons for me to increase my knowledge,share memories,feel them,to INSPIRE.Well today was a good day,the day began with making preparations for the puja.The puja was in our farm and we were preparing for the things to be taken there and we set off with our preparations.After we reached,it was  an asusaul wonderful experience to see AMMA(Mother) do the puja with interest.prayers and well wishes.After the puja,sweets were distributed and then was the amazing time wherin amma distibuted new clothes to all the workers and their Families.Then it was time for a brilliant Lunch.
             After all these,we spent some time there and we had to return because parents had to leave to Bidar(my native) for tomorrow's VijayDashmi Festival.Lots more to happen for the day.
