How things change over a period of time!!

                  Isn't it true that many things change over a period of time???Rather than calling it change we can say that over a period of time,priorities change.I wanted to write a blog on this topic because I felt this today.I felt this when I was about to return to bangalore from bidar.
                During childhood and till past few years it was very difficult for me to come to banagalore from bidar because of the attachment with grandparents and cousins there and also for the reason that the schools would start after returning.But from past 3-4 years that feeling is not there,we will be worried about the tests,exams in college.Sometimes we will be wanting to get back soon so as to have fun with friends etc.Likewise today I was not sad or it was not difficult for me while returning but it doesn't mean that attachment or bonding with cousins and grandparents has weakened but priorities have changed.But I am happy that even they are important to me even now because of which I had been there but that sad feeling was not there while returning,it also means that I have GROWN UP:-):-)

Happy Diwali

                 Wish every Hindu a very Happy and prosperous diwali.Diwali known as the "Festival of lights" is one of the amazing festivals.There are several reasons for celebrating diwali.For jains it marks the attainment of moksha by mahavira.It also marks the return of rama after 14 years of exile and many more reasons are associated with celebration of diwali.However google can be used to know in detail about diwali.I would like to write this blog in a simple n short way so as to save this as memory of how I celebrated this year.
               It is a practice or tradition in our family that the entire family meets up in Bidar during diwali.Bidar is my native place where my grandparents stay.So the same happened this year.It was a great diwali this time,it was somewhat different but somewhat special as well.Today there was puja of our Newspaper printing press.It was wonderful and happened to meet a lot of people after many years.It was also a special one because I had missed coming to bidar for last two years.
          So all in all it was a good day!!!

Vijaydashami

                         Vijaydashami,also known as Dashahara or Dusshera is one of the most important festival celebrated in various forms across India,Nepal and Bangladesh.It is celebrated on the tenth day of Lunar month of Hindu's calendar.The day marks the victory of Goddess Durga over demon Mahishasur and also Rama's victory over Ravana.Dashahara literally means Dasha(ten) and Hara(Defeat) referring to the defeat of ten headed demon Ravana by Rama.

                       Dusshera is one of the festival which makes me feel very happy as we usually celebrate Dusshera in my native Bidar alongwith grandparents and other cousins.It is one such festival which brings all our family members together.This Dusshera was really special because every member of the family were present.It was so happening that everytime one or the other cousin or uncle or aunt were missing because of some exams,work etc.So this time it was really special and I had a great time with the complete family.As the whole Family was present after three years,we had a family photo session,where a photographer close to our family took the initiative to do the needful by clicking awesome photographs.

                     I also witnessed an event in Nehru stadium,where a statue of Ravana was burnt in order to mark the victory of Rama over Ravana.And one more speciality of this festival is the way of celebration in my native.In my native,during dusshera festival,a tradition is followed wherin leaves are exchanged with family members and others.While exchanging,if the two people are of same age they hug each other and wish each other,if one is younger and one is elder,the younger person falls to the feet of the elder and takes blessings.These leaves are considered to be bangara(gold) and byali(silver).So this tradition was followed throughout the evening.It was succeeded by a massive dinner and loads of HAPPINESS.

                May such wonderful Dusshera festival keep repeating throughout my lifetime and let everyone keep consistently progressing in their lives from this festival.
